This Godox UB-130W 130cm / 51" White Deep Umbrella includes the (normally optional) Godox DPU-130T front softbox diffusion panel. That front panel converts it for large softbox style lighting. This isn't your typical photographic umbrella. It's very high quality with a deeper design (note that this is not a "shoot through" style umbrella!). The deeper design, combined with the white reflective surface (instead of silver), gives you a more even light that's also a little more directional compared to a typical umbrella. This fairly large size gives you a nice soft light. Without the front diffusion piece, the light is not as specular or as uneven as a silver umbrella. It has a nice light quality that's somewhere in between that of a very large umbrella and a softbox. When you need a light that's softer still (i.e. a large softbox), just attach the included DPU-130T front softbox diffusion panel. A versatile light modifier that you can easily transport as it collapses just like an umbrella. $58 with pickup in the Richmond area of Vancouver. Thanks and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
