Don't want to part ways with this but such is life! Hope it finds a good home and gets put to use. It's in good and functional condition but has some purely cosmetic blemishes (oxidation, I guess?) on the base. The story goes that it was stolen by N@zis in WWII (thus the unsuccessfully scratched off serial number) and then recovered in the aftermath of the war and ultimately made its way through the family to me. Can't confirm the veracity of this story but I guess it makes no difference to you. Thanks for looking.
