This is a mint condition vintage Asahiflex IIA 35mm SLR camera, widely recognized as one of the first SLR cameras produced in Japan.The camera is equipped with a Takumar 58mm f/2.4 lens, which utilizes a 37mm screw mount unique to the Asahiflex series.It features a waist-level viewfinder rather than the eye-level pentaprism found on later models. Produced between approximately 1955 and 1957, this model represents a significant milestone in camera history. This company became the Pentax company a few years later. Everything is in working order just no original case.
