Ultra-low budget feature film seeking an assistant editor for post-production. This job is for the very first part of the editing of my film. I am the writer/director and already know how I want performances and moments to come together. However, I'm not knowledgable (or barely) with editing softwares myself, so I'm primarily looking for someone who is very strong technically - Someone who can execute precisely within the software while I direct the edit - rather than someone focused on the creative. Phase 1: Sync audio to footage After this phase, I will personally assemble the first very rough cut on premier pro selecting the takes I want for each bit, line or fragment of line. Phase 2: Once the first assembly is complete, we will work together to refine the edit. I will remain very hands-on. I have worked with an editor in the past who told me at completion of the project that based on our work flow what I need is an editor assistant, not and editor, as I know what I want every step of the way, and that I would actually be a decent editor. Not my words. But I am following his advice. So all I need from you is to be proficient in the use of your editing software. Ideally premiere pro for the first phase of editing since that is what I will use for the rough assembly. DaVinci will be great for coloring etc but I may (or may not) hire someone else for that next step. Rate: $25/hour
