This is a beautiful condition Nikon FE2 in black. Such a sharp camera - this boy is a specimen. The FE2 is a personal favorite out of basically all of the film cameras i've tried. Compact, intuitive, aesthetic, loaded with features, both for manual use and more automated. The best meter display IMO nikon ever did - green and black match needles (also present on other cams). These are frequently underrated in favor of the fully mechanical cams and the F-series, but they're starting to garner more attention as people realize how reliable they are even despite not being fully mechanical. This is 95% of what the pro bodies offer in a smaller package. I love the FE, but this really is a step up. Unlike the FE, it has wide shutter range from 8 seconds to 1/4000, and TTL off the film metering for flash, so it just works "automatically" and will stop/quench the flash when enough light has hit the film plane. 1/250 flash sync, which is higher than a lot of modern digital cameras. Stepless shutter speeds in auto mode for accurate, quick metering. Double exposure lever, fast silicon diode meter needle. Standard SR44 batteries so no messing with voltage converters like older cams. Auto exposure lock on the self timer lever. Camera is in fantastic condition and is fully functional. Very, very minor wear if you can find it, a couple of very small marks maybe, thats about it. Even the bottom is quite clean - this thing was well taken care of. Light seals and mirror bumper have been replaced. Winds and advances film, shutter speeds sound accurate and electronics work well. Confirmed working with flash unit, exposure comp works, self timer, DOF lever works. Meter is functional and accurate. Beautifully crisp sounding clean honeycomb titanium shutter. Smooth to wind and fire. Cosmetically it's also in really great shape. I wont say it's flawless but its about as nice as you could want, where even specks of dust stand out on it. As always, please see pictures for full condition. Mirror and viewfinder are in good shape, normal amount of dust from what you find on these cameras (even well taken care of). Tiny tiny smudge near the bottom of the mirror - nothing that affects shooting. If you're looking for a main film camera body that has everything you need and gets out of the way, this is it. Sleek, capable, ready to shoot. Truly my favorite film camera, just need to stop collecting so many cameras lol. Will be sad to pack this one up. Will ship fully insured within CONUS for $15, or local pickup to atlanta.
