We're curating a creative anthology that reimagines the songs, sounds, and soul of music history through the lens of today's generation. Phase One is open for contributors — poets, lyricists, filmmakers, photographers, visual artists, and storytellers — who can translate the emotion and energy of timeless music into new forms of art. THE PROCESS TO CONTRIBUTE IS SIMPLE: Choose a song from 2010 or before. Create art based on/inspired by the song. We are looking for original, unpublished photos, visual/graphic art, poetry, short stories, essays, flash fiction, lyrics, music recordings, and 5-15min short films. As part of Phase One, we're also building a Contributor Fund, where community donations will be collected and a percentage of the total amount will be shared among the selected artists whose work is chosen for the final showcase. The more community participation, the bigger the pot to split with (about 300) chosen contributors. Choosing to pledge money in support of the Contributor Fund does not bear any weight on submission acceptance and are highly appreciated, but not necessary. If you're inspired by music and ready to honor its legacy in your own creative way, we want to see your vision. To apply: Send a short introduction, sample(s) of your work, and a brief explanation of how you'd reinterpret a classic song through your chosen medium. A formal invite will be sent out to those we'd like to move forward with. Invites are based on the project idea, whether another submission is for the same song and/or medium, and whether the number of submissions per genre has already been reached. First come, first served! Submit interest email by Friday, January 9, 2026. Honor history. Create legacy. Let your art sing. Things to Note: We are curating interest while preparing to crowdfund. After the funds are raised AND our ideal number of contributors have been reached, the chosen contributors will receive compensation from the Contributor Fund, a shared fund composed of public donations and sponsor contributions.
