Casting "ORB," an independent feature film. Logline: An aspiring Russian influencer discovers something mysterious in the backyard of her childhood dacha, catapulting her to simultaneous fame and turmoil. We are casting for the following roles. Please email us with headshots, a reel if you have one, and what role(s) you are interested in, as well as confirmation that you fulfill the requirements for said role (e.g. you speak Russian if applying for the Russian-speaking parts). Marcus (Supporting role. Ethnicity: Black / African Descent. Male, age 40-59) Friendly and soft-spoken. He loves to repeat that "he works hard and he plays hard." He is decently passionate about his (boring) office job, but he also noodles around in a band on the weekends. He loves to unwind from a long workday with a big glass of red wine, a new sake, or a single-malt Islay scotch. He has a couple of katana swords displayed on the wall in his living room. David (Supporting role. Male, age 20-35) A younger, subordinate assistant who is no stranger to taking a beating from their boss. Open to a variety of types of people, interested in seeing different personalities. Aunt (Day Player. Female, age 50-69) A Russian-speaking aunt who has been living in the United States. Constantly tired, no-nonsense Soviet woman who is decidedly not afraid of a confrontation. Seeking only authentic Russian speakers at this time. Russian Delivery Man (Day Player. Male, age 40-60) Russian-speaking delivery guy. Interested in seeing different personalities. Seeking only authentic Russian speakers at this time. Doctor (Day Player. Age 40-90) Straight-laced, professional, no nonsense. Photographer (Day Player. Age 40-70) An eccentric photographer, easily excitable. A real "Betsey Johnson doing a cartwheel at the runway show" vibe to them. They've lived hard, and they might look it. Weird Guy (Day Player. 35-50) A weird, sweaty-looking quiet guy in a tank top. Thank you for your consideration, ORB Team
