We will reimburse you for subway/train tickets or gas money for drivers* Looking for two key roles in a microbudget feature film that will be shooting between June 12th & July 31st. Both roles will require about 5 evenings on set, from 6pm to 11pm (midnight at the latest). We can work with your calendar availability. The pay is $50 cash per shoot, negotiable based on experience. Will be paid same rate if more shooting days are needed. MUST be an LGBTQ+ ally, since the film is about a transgender chosen family who gathers for dinner on the one-year anniversary of a close friend Sky who took their own life. The two roles we are casting are the parents of Sky, who show up for dessert. While you must be a kind human being who accepts LGBTQ+ people, your characters will be the opposite: BARB (40s) -- wants everyone to believe she's perfect, controlled anger, delivers insults with surgical precision, fairly religious but that's not why she's transphobic. She believes transgenderism is a mental illness that Sky suffered from. RICK (40s) -- smart with the capacity for compassion, but chooses to follow Barb's lead. He really wants people to like him, but he would rather be in Barb's good graces. Before he met Barb, Rick was openly queer, but he now considers it a "mistake" that Barb helped him correct. In the scene, the group of four trans friends confront Rick & Barb about Sky's death. It is the climax of the film. Schedule is flexible.
