CASTING CALL – Older Male or Female Actor (Funeral Scene) – Independent Film We're casting an older actor (approximately 60+) for a role in an independent film. Role: A funeral attendee who witnesses the dead person rise from the open casket. The character reacts with overwhelming fear, screams, and begins to faint, collapsing to their knees. This is a dramatic moment with a touch of dark comedy, so we're looking for someone expressive who can deliver a strong physical and emotional performance. Audition Request: We understand that screaming may not be practical if you're recording at home. Please submit a self-tape that includes: Looking as if you've just witnessed someone unexpectedly rise from the dead. Show your facial reaction as the realization sets in. Begin to lose your balance and slowly fall to your knees as though you're about to faint. If you're able to include a scream, great—but it's not required for the audition. We're primarily looking to see your facial expressions, timing, and physical acting.
