Paid Gig Shoot Length: 1 to 1.5 days (Los Angeles County – exact location provided upon casting) I'm casting the lead role for an upcoming psychological horror short film that relies heavily on atmosphere, subtle performances, and believable reactions rather than excessive dialogue. Looking For Male Mid-20s to early 30s Must be able to convincingly play a young adult Hispanic or Caucasian Comfortable performing emotional and physical reactions in a suspense/horror setting The role requires an actor who can communicate fear, confusion, and vulnerability primarily through the eyes and subtle facial expressions. SELF-TAPE AUDITION (45–90 Seconds) Please record your audition using the following scenario: Scene You're asleep in your bedroom when you're awakened by repeated thumping coming from another room. Annoyed, look toward the direction of the sound and deliver the line: "Andre, knock it off! It's fucking late!" The thumping suddenly stops. After a brief pause, imagine hearing slow footsteps approaching your bedroom. Follow the sound naturally with your eyes as if it's getting closer to your room. Fix your attention on the darkness in front of you, as though you know something is there but can't quite see it. After a beat, quietly and hesitantly say: "Andre...?" Imagine hearing another step—closer this time. Your hesitation shifts into nervous frustration as you say: "Quit fucking around!" Immediately afterward, imagine witnessing something impossible. React instinctively by jolting backward as if you've been genuinely startled. Gasp for air and remain frozen for a moment, letting the fear settle in. Avoid screaming or exaggerated horror reactions. I'm looking for grounded, believable performances that feel authentic. Please Include Name Age Height Recent headshot (or clear photos) Resume (if available) Demo reel (if available) Self-tape (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, or downloadable link) Selected actors will be contacted with additional project details, shooting dates, compensation, and callback information. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing your audition!
