CASTING CALL – PAID | SHORT FILM | NYC Title: Two Bridges Genre: Drama Shoot Date: One day (Estimated: September 26, 2026) Location: New York City Rate: $200/day (one-day shoot) + meals and credit About the Project Two Bridges is an intimate, dialogue-driven short film about two Black women forced to confront the truth about their relationship while packing up the apartment they once shared. Set entirely in one location, the film explores accountability, grief, healing, and what it means to let go. This is a passion project from filmmaker Amira Shaunice, founder of New York Girls TV, a platform dedicated to telling authentic stories centered on Black women who love women. While this is my first short film, I have over 15 years of experience creating independent narrative content. We're looking for actors who can deliver emotionally grounded, natural performances and aren't afraid of vulnerability. This film relies heavily on dialogue and subtle emotional shifts. SEEKING LONNIE (Black Woman, early 30s) A former musician with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. Funny, charismatic, and emotionally expressive, Lonnie struggles with feelings of abandonment after being blindsided by the end of a five-year relationship. Looking for an actor who can balance humor, heartbreak, and quiet vulnerability. JORDAN (Black Woman, early 30s) Reserved, thoughtful, and emotionally guarded. Jordan has spent years putting everyone else's needs before her own, until she finally chooses herself. She's carrying guilt, relief, and unresolved love all at once.
