Independent film production seeking a Chinese calligraphy / ink painting artist to create a small number of hand-drawn props. We're specifically looking for someone who can draw traditional Chinese horses using black ink on rice paper (宣纸) in a classic calligraphy / ink-wash style (黑白水墨). Ideal background: - Experience with Chinese calligraphy or ink painting (国画 / 书法) - Familiarity with traditional brush techniques - Portfolio or sample photos required (phone photos OK) Location: - NYC preferred, but open to nearby / local artists Production is in early/mid January, so will need to be completed in December or at the very beginning of January.
