Looking for an experienced colorist to finish a 5-minute narrative short film. **Scope:** * Conform from the XML * Color correction / final color grade * Work from original camera media * Deliver one final graded picture master The picture is locked. I edited the film using proxy media, so the final conform will need to be done from the original camera media. I can provide the locked XML, reference export, and all original camera media on an SSD. I'm located in Los Angeles and can hand off the drive locally. There are a few shots in the film with intentional crops/reframes. I understand that some of that position/scale information may not carry over perfectly from the XML, so those shots may need to be replicated manually during the conform. There is also a very brief (~2 second) small boom shadow visible in the final scene that I'd appreciate some special attention to during the grade. If it can be reduced or cleaned up as part of the grading process, great, but it doesn't need to be treated as a major issue. The film is approximately 5 minutes long and is intended as a festival submission and directing sample. If you'd like to get a sense of the project before committing, I can also send a link to the current picture. **Looking for:** * Experienced colorist comfortable conforming from XML * Strong eye for natural, cinematic narrative work * Comfortable working with indie/short-film projects * Ability to complete the work by **September 10 or 11** **Location:** Los Angeles **Media:** Original camera files available on SSD **Compensation:** **$400 flat** When responding, please indicate that you are comfortable with the **$400 rate**, along with a brief description of your experience, a link to your work/reel, and your availability. Thanks!
