We are assembling a community of creative artists for an exciting long-term creative project based in Lower Westchester. It is envisioned as a beautifully designed mobile theatre that will travel throughout the White Plains and wider area, bringing unexpected moments of wonder, music, storytelling, puppetry, laughter, imagination, and human connection into public spaces. Our philosophy is simple: "The unexpected happens here." This is not a one-time event or an immediate production. We're looking to meet imaginative, creative people who may wish to become part of an ongoing artistic community as this vision develops. Especially interested in hearing from: * Puppeteers * Ventriloquists * Storytellers * Mimes *Character comedians and physical comedy performers in the tradition of Laurel and Hardy. * Singers * Musicians * Magicians * Jugglers * Clowns - Interactive theatrical artists - Other imaginative theatre artists *Artists who enjoy collaborating with other performers to create unique theatrical experiences are especially encouraged to respond.* The performances will be variously imaginative, mysterious, playful, artistic and family-friendly. No vulgarity. No mean-spirited humor. No ugliness. The goal is to surprise people… delight them… and leave them glad they stopped by. We're not simply looking for performers. We're looking for people who believe communities become healthier when there is more creativity, more spontaneity, more beauty, and more opportunities for strangers to become friends. If this idea speaks to you, we'd love to hear from you. Please tell us about yourself and your creative work. If possible, include: • a website or social media page • a video of yourself performing (or send a short sample) • where you're located • anything you'd like us to know about your artistic interests Professional experience is welcome, but enthusiasm, imagination, and a collaborative spirit are equally important. This project is still in its early planning stages, so we're looking to build relationships with wonderful people who might enjoy becoming part of something uniquely wonderful as it grows. If you've ever wished there were more surprise… more magic… and more genuine human connection in everyday community life… We'd love to hear from you. Always leave room for magic.
