Derma Essentials Lab is looking for a highly creative, versatile Graphic Designer & Video Editor with strong AI skills. We are not looking for someone who only knows how to make attractive graphics. We need someone who can think creatively, develop original concepts, create scroll-stopping content, edit videos, generate realistic AI images and videos, and use tools like ChatGPT and Claude as part of their everyday workflow. ## What You'll Be Doing * Create social media graphics, ads, promotional creatives, product visuals, website graphics, and marketing materials * Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and paid ads * Create strong hooks, captions, transitions, pacing, sound design, and engaging short-form edits * Generate realistic AI product photography, lifestyle images, environments, models, and advertising concepts * Generate AI video content using modern video-generation tools * Maintain accurate product appearance, branding, proportions, packaging, labels, and consistency across AI-generated content * Use ChatGPT and Claude for creative concepts, scripts, prompts, research, brainstorming, problem solving etc * Come up with original advertising and social media concepts without needing constant direction * Take a basic idea and turn it into multiple strong creative directions * Create content for beauty, skincare, wellness, and cosmetic products * Help us continuously test new creative ideas instead of repeating the same visual style ## Skills We're Looking For You should be strong in several of the following areas: * Adobe Photoshop - MUST * Adobe Illustrator - MUST * Premiere Pro - MUST * Graphic design - MUST * Photo editing and retouching - MUST * Product compositing - MUST * Social media advertising creatives * Short-form video editing * Motion graphics * AI image generation * AI video generation * Prompt writing * ChatGPT * Claude * Image generation tools - MUST * Video generation tools - MUST What matters most is that you are highly capable, creative, resourceful, and comfortable learning new tools quickly. ## Most Important: Creative Thinking We do not want someone who needs to be told: "Put the product here, use this background, add this headline." We want someone who can be told: "We need an ad for this skincare product that stops people from scrolling." …and independently come back with multiple strong ideas. You should be able to look at a product, understand the audience and goal, and develop creative concepts yourself. We value people who experiment, think differently, and are constantly looking for new ways to make content more interesting. ## AI Experience Is Important You should be comfortable using AI as a professional creative tool—not simply generating random images. You should understand concepts such as: * Reference images * Product consistency * Character consistency * Prompt engineering * Image-to-video * Maintaining realistic proportions * Realistic product placement * Generating multiple creative variations * Combining AI-generated assets with Photoshop and video editing * Improving AI outputs manually when necessary ## Ideal Candidate * Are extremely creative * Have excellent visual taste * Understand modern social media content * Understand what makes someone stop scrolling * Can work independently * Learn software quickly * Enjoy experimenting with new AI tools * Can work quickly without sacrificing quality * Can take feedback without becoming attached to one concept * Can produce multiple ideas instead of constantly repeating the same design * Understand beauty, skincare, cosmetics, fashion, or premium consumer brands * Think like both a designer and a marketer ## What We Don't Want * Only create basic Canva-style graphics * Need detailed instructions for every design * Have no experience with AI creative tools * Only specialize in traditional graphic design and are unwilling to learn AI * Create the same type of design repeatedly * Cannot edit video * Depend entirely on templates * Are uncomfortable receiving frequent creative feedback ## Application Requirements 1. Your portfolio 2. Examples of social media or advertising creatives you have made 3. Examples of videos you have edited 4. Examples of AI-generated images or videos you have created 5. A list of the AI tools you currently use 6. Your experience with ChatGPT and Claude 7. Your hourly rate or desired monthly salary 8. Your availability and time zone Please also answer: If we gave you a skincare sunscreen product and told you, "Create something that would stop someone from scrolling on Instagram," how would you approach it? We are specifically looking for someone who can become an important long-term part of our creative team. Company: Derma Essentials Lab
