**CREATIVE DIRECTOR / DIRECTOR / SCRIPTWRITER WANTED FOR LGBTQ+ MUSIC VIDEO — NYC** Seeking a **Director, Creative Director and/or Scriptwriter** to collaborate on an upcoming music video for an independent LGBTQ+ music artist. This is **not** a traditional performance-video project. The goal is to create a fully developed visual concept that tells an actual story and feels more like a short film, fever dream, piece of visual art, or something we probably have to explain to somebody afterward. I am specifically looking for creatives who are interested in: * Narrative storytelling * Bold, unconventional concepts * Strong characters and visual worlds * Dark, strange, provocative, funny, sexual, surreal or uncomfortable ideas * Pushing boundaries * Taking creative risks * Creating something people actually talk about after watching **I do not want to play it safe.** If your first instinct is to tone an idea down because it may be "too much," this probably is not the project for you. I want someone who understands that sometimes the thing that makes an idea slightly dangerous is exactly what makes it interesting. There will still be intention behind everything—we're not trying to shock people just for the sake of shock—but I absolutely want to challenge expectations and create something that does not feel like every other independent music video. **BUDGET:** Small/independent budget. Please keep that in mind before reaching out. I'm looking for someone who genuinely connects with the project and sees an opportunity to make something creatively ambitious despite limited resources. Must be LGBTQ+ friendly. NYC-based strongly preferred. When responding, please include: * Your name * Portfolio/reel * Your role(s): Director / Creative Director / Writer * A little about your creative style * Any narrative, experimental or unconventional work you've done * And most importantly: **tell me the type of music video idea you've always wanted to make that someone else probably would've told you was too much.**
