Hello Craiglist LA!!! Do you love old Hollywood? Black and white films? We are shooting a gritty, high-contrast black and white noir feature set between the 1930s and 1960s. It follows the true story of a legendary LGBTQ icon who weaponized her celebrity to fight systemic fascism. We are bypassing the traditional Hollywood gloss to build a scrappy, authentic period world from the ground up because we feel this film is important to make right now. This is an ambitious, scrappy 25-day shoot in the LA area. Compensation is copy, credit, and meals. Financial pay is STRICTLY DEFERRED BACKEND. This project is ideal for film students, or creatives with other means of income who want to get their hands dirty on a visually striking film. We need to fill the following roles: • Hair Stylists (vintage hairstyles experience is preferred!) • Wardrobe Assistants • Grip + Gaffer • Production Assistants • Set Builder • BTS Photographer • Storyboard Artist • Boom Op / Mixer • Sign Painter We are looking for special people who actually give a shit about making a film. If you show up on time, work hard, and want to build something memorable, we want you on set! We are completely open to both seasoned pros looking for creative freedom and hungry beginners ready to prove themselves.
