Hi everyone, I'm an award-winning writer-director currently finishing my next short film, a visually driven fantasy project that blends grounded emotion with elevated, stylized worlds. Over the past few years, my previous films have won over 20 awards across the festival circuit (including Best Director, Best Short Film, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing), and this next piece is being developed with festival submission in mind and will be shared with industry executives already following my work. This is a passion project that we've worked incredibly hard to bring to this stage, and I'm excited to build the final layers with a few additional creatives for the post team who are driven, collaborative, reliable, and interested in creating something visually striking and meaningful. We are currently in post-production and looking to bring on a Colorist, Composer, and additional VFX Artist. The film is approximately 20 minutes in length. The Colorist role includes both preparing footage for VFX (ACES workflow preferred) and completing final color across multiple visual worlds, including a moody, purple-driven dimensional space, a bold neon secondary world, and a grounded cinematic real world. I will be following up with a few technical questions (provided by my VFX Artist and Editor) prior to interviews. Rate: $500–$1250, depending on experience. Additional compensation may be discussed if the Colorist is also able to assist with light VFX work. The Composer will create a dark, atmospheric score blending ambient, electronic, and orchestral elements, with inspiration rooted in the tonal work of Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl) and Michael Giacchino (The Batman), including a strong opening sequence and subtle character-driven moments throughout. I'm especially interested in learning more about your creative process and how you collaborate with filmmakers. Los Angeles-based composers are preferred; having your own workspace is a plus, but not required. Rate: $500–$1200 The VFX Artist role may support an existing VFX Supervisor with workflow and asset preparation or take on select shots depending on experience within a stylized, fantasy-driven environment. We have a VFX Artist who has been with the project from the beginning but is looking for additional support to help move the pipeline forward efficiently. Rate: $500–$1250, depending on scope and experience. Please send a reel, brief introduction, resume or links, and your availability. Open to hearing from indie-friendly post houses as well — please include your location, rate structure, services offered, and examples of narrative work. This is a strong opportunity to create a standout, signature piece on a visually driven fantasy short with clear festival potential. I'm looking for collaborators who take pride in their craft, are excited to contribute creatively, and are available to jump in over the next few weeks. This is a collaborative project with real momentum and an exciting path ahead on the festival circuit.
