The Deardorff V8 8x10 camera is the gold standard in 8x10 excellence and was used by all the greats including Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. If you are looking to get into 8x10 film photography this is the best camera to use as it's suited perfectly to studio or nature work. This camera is in great working condition and has the much sought after front swing feature. The bellows is new and light tight and the handle is new also. There are some spots of wear to the finish as well as some small pitting that could be polished out as would be expected with a camera of this age but nothing ugly. I've used this camera in the studio and the field with excellent results and all movements knobs and locks are working and present. The lens is not included. The camera could use a light cleaning and polish as I haven't gotten around to it. All of the metal is chrome although the lighting in some of the images looks gold. This camera is priced accordingly as it is cosmetically in good to very good condition but not excellent or like new. Otherwise it would be priced in the high $4K region.
