Hi! I'm a filmmaker based in Los Angeles working on a series of short (1–2 minute) documentary portraits about real people doing interesting, meaningful, or visually unique things. I'm looking for individuals of all ages — especially elders and kids — who have a story to share or a craft, passion, or daily ritual worth capturing. This is NOT an acting job. I want real people who are open, engaging, and comfortable being themselves on camera. WHO I'M LOOKING FOR: -Artists, craftspeople, musicians -Street vendors, cooks, creators -Elders with life stories or special skills -Kids who do something unique or unexpected -Makers, tinkerers, collectors, hobbyists -Anyone with a visually interesting job or passion If your hands make something… if your routine is special… if your life has rhythm, color, or texture… I want to hear from you. DETAILS: 1-day shoot (usually 1–3 hours) Shot in your environment (home, shop, studio, etc.) You'll receive a beautifully edited short film of your portrait No cost to you Small stipend available for your time (if needed) TO SUBMIT Please send: Your name & age A quick description of what you do Why you think it could make a great mini-documentary Location: Anywhere in Los Angeles Looking forward to meeting the everyday legends and hidden gems of this city!
