We are looking for a freelance cinematographer to join our production team for shooting actor reel scenes. This is ongoing project-based work for someone who is dependable, professional, and enjoys creating network-level cinematic content. We shoot most scenes within a 10-15 minute drive of the Ridgewood, NJ area. Scenes typically take 2-3 hours each to shoot. We usually try to shoot around 2-3 scenes per day (occasional one-scene or four-scene days happen but they're rare). Each scene pays $180 starting, with more possible as experience & skill level grows. So a two-scene day will pay you $360, and a three scene day would be $540. This is a recurring gig, with most scenes being shot on a few key sets we have, and occasional outdoor scenes. Responsibilities: -Film scripted actor reel scenes with professional sound, lighting, blocking, and cinematic camera movement. -Set up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment. -Work closely with actors and a director to ensure a smooth shoot (most scenes are a 2-person crew, plus two actors). -Capture clean, high-quality 1080p footage while maintaining a professional and efficient workflow. -Upload raw footage to a Dropbox folder for our editors to start working on. Qualifications: -Previous videography or filmmaking experience. -Knowledge of camera operation, cinematic lighting, and how to hide lavaliere microphones on actors with minimal clothing rustle. -Professional attitude with strong communication skills. -Reliable transportation and punctuality. -BONUS: We need editors and directors too.
