Experienced VFX Compositor Needed – Independent Feature Film (Studio City) I'm looking for an experienced VFX compositor to help me finish a self-financed independent feature film that's in the final stages of post-production. The film is fully shot and edited, and we're simply working to complete the remaining visual effects and finish post-production for release as soon as possible. I'm the editor on the film and have already completed many of the visual effects myself, but VFX isn't my primary specialty. I'm looking for someone with strong compositing experience who can step in, evaluate what I've already done, improve shots where needed, and help prioritize, refine, and complete the remaining visual effects while we collaborate to get the film across the finish line. The remaining work includes compositing, tracking, paint-outs, object removal, screen replacements, green-screen work, cleanup, and integrating AI-generated elements into live-action footage. I'm currently editing in DaVinci Resolve and using some Runway AI in my workflow, but I'm open to artists who work in After Effects, Nuke, or other compositing software, as long as the finished shots can be delivered back into my Resolve edit. I'm specifically looking for someone local to Studio City, Burbank, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Glendale, or the surrounding Los Angeles area. I'd like to meet in person, review the remaining shots together, and develop a game plan. Being able to collaborate locally is important. The goal is to complete the remaining VFX over the next 2–3 weeks, so I'm looking for someone who is available to jump in quickly. This is a paid position, but it's a self-financed independent feature with a limited post-production budget. I know I won't be able to match standard industry rates, but I'd like to meet, review the remaining work together, and come up with a fair flat-rate or project fee that works for both of us. I'm looking for the right person more than the lowest bid. If you're interested, please send me a little about yourself along with examples of your compositing or VFX work. A demo reel is great, but it's not required. A website, IMDb page, before-and-after examples, or links to projects you've worked on are all welcome. I'm much more interested in seeing the quality of your work than where you've worked.
