Looking for a reliable, detail-driven film editor to complete post on an 8-minute SAG short film. The film has already been shot, assembled, and has a clear directing vision. It is currently slated for multiple 2026 festival submissions, so deadlines matter. What you'll be handling: • Finishing editorial on a near-picture-locked cut • Implementing director notes (2 passes minimum) • Cleaning transitions + pacing • Basic color and sound temp adjustments to prep for final mix Pay: $400 flat • $200 after the first cut is delivered • $200 upon final approved cut Requirements: • Must be able to start immediately • Must be responsive — no disappearing, no excuses • Must hit a fast turnaround (1–2 weeks max) • Must work from organized Google Drive OR your own system • Must respect the director's vision — this is not a co-director position Do NOT apply if: • You miss deadlines • You need hand-holding or "collaborative therapy sessions" • You can't respond to emails within 24 hours • You're juggling too many jobs • You're a flake (I'll know instantly) To apply, send: 1. Your reel 2. At least one completed short you edited 3. Your actual availability (not wishful thinking) 4. Your real name (you'd be shocked how many applicants skip this) Professional energy only. If you can deliver, you'll get credited on a strong SAG short that's already moving toward the festival circuit.
