This is a very nice example of Minolta's classic SRT series, paired with the excellent MC Rokkor-X PF 50mm f/1.7. Cosmetically, the camera presents very well for its age. There are a few minor bright marks from normal use and one small dimple in the body, which I have tried to show clearly in the photographs. Mechanically, the camera operates properly in use. Film advance and rewind operate smoothly, the shutter fires properly, and the shutter speeds appear to be within normal working specification. The meter responds normally and seems reasonably accurate in my use. My approach with old cameras is fairly practical. I do not assume that a meter in a camera of this age is going to agree perfectly with a modern calibrated meter, even when it is working properly. I am also including a battery adapter and fresh battery that allow the camera to use a readily available LR44 rather than the original obsolete mercury cell. An LR44 operates at a somewhat higher voltage than the original mercury battery for which the SRT was designed. That is another reason I prefer the practical approach of cross-checking the meter and establishing its working calibration rather than claiming laboratory accuracy from a vintage analog meter. Included is the Minolta MC Rokkor-X PF 50mm f/1.7, serial number 4059120. Attached images taken with this body and lens with Kentmere 400 souped in FA 1027 1+14 The glass is quite clean by my standards, particularly considering its age, but I am deliberately not calling vintage glass perfect. There may be minor dust, cleaning marks or other small age-related imperfections. I have seen nothing in actual use that has affected the photographs. Available for local pickup in Murray Hill.
