Job Description: We are seeking a camera person, student or professional, to film a podcast over three days (September 14-16, 2026) using a multi-camera setup: a Zoom office camera with integrated sound (passive), a Sony a6000 (passive) or cell phone camera, and a Sony a6700 (active) that we own. The role involves managing two passive cameras for consistent wide and medium shots and actively controlling the a6700 for dynamic zooms and close-ups, replicating the excellent work of our previous videographer. This is easy work, you have to manage closeups. The setup is desk-facing like a news studio, and no editing is required—raw footage must be loaded onto a provided thumb drive at the end of each day. THIS IS NOT A POST FOR AN EDITOR, WE HAVE OUR OWN EDITING TEAM. WE HAVE OUR OWN EQUIPMENT. THERE IS NO GREEN SCREEN. Responsibilities: • Operate a multi-camera setup: • Sony a6000: Passively operated for a medium shot, ensuring proper framing and focus. • Sony a6700: Actively controlled, using AI autofocus, touch-to-track, and zoom for dynamic close-ups and smooth camera choreography. • Complete 1 hour of setup on dates listed (cameras, tripods, lenses, audio connections), plus 30 minutes of takedown each day. • Ensure footage matches the visual style of prior recordings. • Transfer raw footage to a provided thumb drive at the end of each day's shoot (no editing required). Requirements: • Experience with Sony a6700 and a6000 (or similar E-mount cameras, e.g., a6600, FX30), including familiarity with AI autofocus, S-Cinetone, and zoom controls. • Proven videography experience with multi-camera setups (podcasts, interviews, or events). • Ability to execute smooth camera choreography (framing, zooms, transitions) on the a6700 while monitoring passive cameras. • Strong attention to detail to replicate the previous videographer's work. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Portfolio or reel showcasing multi-camera or podcast-style camera person. • Ability to transfer raw footage to a thumb drive efficiently or upload to cloud (familiarity with USB-C or SD card readers). Preferred Qualifications: • Current film/media student or professional with 1-2 years of videography experience. • Familiarity with Sony E-mount lenses (e.g., Sony 11mm f/1.8, 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6, or Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8). Equipment: • Must use or have access to a Sony a6700 and a6000 (rental options available if needed). Zoom office camera provided on-site. • Tripods • Thumb drive provided for daily raw footage transfer; candidate must ensure compatibility (e.g., USB-C or SD card reader). How to Apply: • Submit your resume and a link to your portfolio/reel showcasing multi-camera or podcast-style videography, ideally with Sony cameras or Zoom office systems.
