I'm looking for a GAFFER to join my team for Two Bridges, an independent short film shooting October 24th in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Two Bridges is a character-driven story about two Black women and former lovers sharing one final day in an apartment as they prepare to go their separate ways. It's intimate, emotional, and visually driven, with the entire film taking place primarily in one living room. We already have an amazing cast and crew in place, including sound and gaffer, and we're looking for the final piece to complete the team. I'm looking for someone who is creative, collaborative, reliable, and comfortable working on an independent production with a small crew and limited budget. This is an opportunity to build something visually intentional—not just show up and turn on lights. What I'm Looking For * Experienced with narrative/short-film lighting * Able to work closely with the DP and director to execute the visual concept * Comfortable lighting a primarily single-location interior * Able to shape and control light rather than simply provide illumination * Strong understanding of motivated lighting, contrast, negative fill, diffusion, and practicals * Able to assess the location and help determine lighting needs during our production meeting Please email me a complete list of the equipment you personally own or will have available for the shoot.
