Admatch Corporation, a family business founded in 1969, is looking for a full-time IN-HOUSE graphic artist and production/proofing prep assistant in its Art Department. We produce custom-printed advertising products for the hospitality industry as well as for sports teams, colleges and universities, hospitals, film/tv events, airlines, liquor companies, weddings, and other uses. Products include printed and designed matchboxes, matchbooks, bar coasters, cocktail napkins, coffee cups, stadium drink cups, toothpicks, pocket tissue packs, and more. Items are produced in the USA, Japan, India, and The Netherlands. We sell to all 50 U.S. States, Canada, and some parts of Europe depending on the item and quantity. Logos and artwork are submitted by customers for each order and need to be evaluated, edited, improved, or in some cases totally re-drawn. We also have requests for mock-ups and for help designing artwork/logos if the customer is unsure of what they really want. FULL-TIME POSITION IN OFFICE **(remote work NOT currently part of this role)** EST. SALARY RANGE: $65,000 gross per annum + benefits + potential bonuses POSITION REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY): Key Primary Responsibilities: **(Additional related responsibilities and tasks can and may be added)** 1. Use customer supplied artwork files to prepare PDF proofs from design templates for all custom print product orders. a. Manage proof preparation, revisions and approval from customers using a paperless office order routing system b. Maintain customer artwork archives 2. Communicate with customers via email and phone a. Artwork file concerns, changes, requests. b. Proofing or printing questions and communications regarding proof approvals. c. Provide ideas, guidance, and options to customers who may have limited knowledge of printing or graphic arts so they can effectively sell our products. Educate customers. 3. Clean-up, partially redraw and prepare artwork files for print output separations. 4. Create design ideas using product images and templates to make virtual product mock-ups using customer supplied artwork 5. Create Advertising collateral for marketing campaigns, Email/print advertisements, trade show handouts, websites, etc. 6. Develop & maintain a working relationship with all partner factory Pre-press and Art Department Managers 7. Act as a resource and aid to co-workers so they can learn to communicate general graphic arts and printing topics to customers relating to our products and printing processes. Core Competencies: 1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Printing Industry as a Production Artist / Graphic Artist 2. Above average understanding of Pre-press and print output processes 3. Full knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign 4. Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office 360 and its programs. 5. Excellent computer skills with both MAC & PC platforms. Technically adept. 6. Effective, clear & service-oriented communicator who can understand customer needs, anticipate problems before they arise, and respond accordingly. Strong writing and verbal skills. 7. Deadline sensitive & highly organized. Able to handle multiple customer demands/questions simultaneously, while remaining calm and professional. 8. Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining composure. 9. Experience working with a small team.
