An independent feature film comedy drama (98 min.) is now looking for a post-production sound mixer / sound designer with his own Pro-Tools studio to do a pass on the film's sound design / sound mix. The film is picture locked, color corrected, and it's had a sound design created already along with a rough mix. It needs to have another pass made on it though. Likely 20% of the job is sound design and 80% of the job is sound mixing so that it has a nicely balanced sound across all scenes. The final output desired would be a professional 5.1 mix delivered in 6 individual stems (Dx; Fx; Bg; Mx; Fo; ADR) in various formats (.Wav files; ProTools files; AIFF files) along with a stereo mix (2 tracks) so we can have the audio both segregated and mixed down as that provides us options for the deliverable requirements per the distribution phase. This sound pass is the last phase to finish before festival submissions begin. The feature's picture was cut in Adobe Premiere. Please submit your CV with contact info, gear list, etc. and anything else you think may be relevant if you have time and interest. This is a low budget film so the amount we can afford to pay is posted below. I understand if you want more but unfortunately we are on a tight budget so please only submit if you have interest and are in a position to take on a job like this for the budget it has. Respectfully, life is short and there's no need to waste each other's time if unable to do so. The plan would be to Zoom with the director at some point in the near future, if all sounds good, will have an NDA and contract sent over for you to sign. Then we can meet at your studio to screen the film and discuss the sound needs. The director will have a laundry list of needs and time codes of where they are at (will Dropbox a low-rez copy w/ TC). Beyond that creatively though, director is open to ideas should the sound designer have thoughts to embellish. One main issue is boosting dialog so that all dialog is legible. Actors wore Lavalier mics and were boomed on set so both are available. The problem with boosting DX is that it also boosts BG so making sure that it all balances out and sounds good is top priority. Had a composer write original score for film. That's it for now. I look forward to hearing from you. Ideal candidate lives in West Los Angeles but open to others too. Thank you,
