Symbols for Susan: a grieving woman interpreting pennies as messages from her deceased grandmother while descending into isolation. Hi! My name is Emma, and I'm looking for an editor for my short horror film. It is a low budget found footage film, filmed with my mini DV camera. I've already completed a rough cut and brought the film down to approximately 16 minutes, but I'm hoping to tighten it further. Since I also star in the film, I've reached a point where it's difficult to remain objective, and I'm looking for a fresh set of eyes to help shape the final cut. I definitely need help with pacing, trimming runtime, and final story shaping. Synopsis: Set in the 1990s, Symbols for Susan, follows Susan, a lonely law firm receptionist who uses a newly purchased camcorder as a video diary after the death of her grandmother, her last remaining family member. After moving to New York in search of a new beginning, Susan finds herself sinking deeper into isolation and depression. When she begins discovering pennies in unexpected places, she becomes convinced they are signs from her grandmother reaching out from beyond. Driven by grief and a growing need for connection, Susan returns to her hometown in search of answers, faith, and peace. I am using Premiere Pro editing software.
