TITLE: Godland PROJECT DETAILS: Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi Page Count: 8 Pages Locations: 1 Interior Apartment Cast: 1 Female Lead, 1 Male Supporting Shoot Length: One Day Status: Script is fully completed and polished. Logline: A mother struggles to save the lives of her children when an invisible catastrophe threatens children all over the country. What I'm looking for: More than anything, I'm looking for a creative partner, someone who connects with the material and wants to see it exist in the world as much as I do. On the practical side, that means helping bring this from script to screen: budgeting, scheduling, crew, and coordination for a one-day interior shoot. But the right person is someone who sees producing as a creative act, not just a logistical one. More about the project and role: I'm an award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles seeking a producer for Godland, a micro-budget SAG short film. My previous short The Day of, about a mother on the phone with her daughter during a school shooting, has screened at festivals worldwide and earned multiple awards. Godland continues in that same vein: restrained, observational filmmaking that uses intimate personal catastrophe to say something true about the world we're living in. The film is a political allegory about American complicity, systemic neglect, and the people this country requires us to forget. I'm looking for a producer who is motivated by making an impact. Someone who feels the urgency of this moment, who looks at what's happening in Gaza and around the world and believes that film still has something to say about it. Someone who wants to help bring stories like this to life. If that's you, I'd love to connect.
