Hey there, First things first: this is a passion project and there's no pay. That said, it's a project we're taking seriously, with plans for a festival run. The film is connected with a well-known nonprofit organization focused on survivor advocacy and support, and the subject matter is being handled thoughtfully and respectfully. That being said… I'm an award-winning filmmaker putting together a short film to help a close friend tell her story about a traumatic experience. There's no real budget behind this project—just enough to provide respectable crafty/catering and cover any necessary gear rentals—but despite that, I'm committed to making a well-crafted, sincere film that everyone involved can be proud of. I'm currently looking to bring together a small, dedicated crew for a 3-day shoot at the end of January (likely Jan 26–28). Students and folks early in their careers are absolutely encouraged to submit — if you're looking to gain on-set experience, meet collaborators, and earn solid credits, this could be a good fit. Crew We're Looking For: - 1st AC - Gaffer - Grip - Location Sound Mixer - PA About the Shoot... Genre: Drama Camera: Blackmagic Pocket 4K or Fujifilm X-H2S (TBD) Locations: North Hollywood, Koreatown, Sherman Oaks Shoot Length: 3 days ---- I have a teaser, treatment, script, and storyboards available to share with interested collaborators. If you're interested, please send: - Your name - The role you're interested in - A reel or resume (if you have one) Thanks for reading — looking forward to connecting with some of you.
