Hello, I am a filmmaker looking to begin production this September most likely at this Sacandaga Lake cabin rental for an analog horror series found footage segment based in 1982. I will have permits, production insurance, and everything needed to properly shoot this segment. The first 3 Im looking for is a husband, a wife, and a 10-12 year old son where we will have to apply for a 15 day child performer temporary permit for NYS. I'd greatly prefer to have the actors actually be married with a son. It will add to the authenticity Im going for where if at least 1 adult member has acting experience and can guide the others and Im even open to setting up a few acting classes as needed for that circumstance. If we cannot make that happen I of course want at least 1 or preferably both parents on set when the child is performing. I also need an adult camera operator actor/actress around the same size as the kid for a scene where hes filming because this certain night cabin scene will include some loud unsettling anger from the adult actors because of the language and subject matter. There will also be a small boat scene on the lake with the father and son. I will have a safety team with a lifeguard and this is an extra reason while Id be extra comfortable with an actual father and son as the safety team, myself, and possible cinematographer will have to be close by but not in the boat as the father will be filming the home video. There will also be some in the car scenes with the family where Im searching to rent a 70s-1980 vehicle appropriate for a middle to lower class 1981 family. I will look into getting a backroad closed off with a safety team to ensure the scene is done extra safely The overall segment will not be that long and Im estimating it'll be around a 3 day shoot. We can negotiate pay I'll be funding this segment myself to use in some of the marketing while I save and work towards building up a greater budget to get the rest of the series made. I feel very confident about this series and plan for it to do very well by distributing it first on online platforms and potentially editing a film version for festivals. I have a lot of future plans with a future creative ARG marketing campaign I want to do to really get this thing to take off. I started writing ideas for the overall series back in 2022-23 and feel very confident from the time I put in. Id love for you to be a part of this passion project. Send me an email if interested and we can go from there and talk more! Edit* I got an actor interested in a part but actually need a few other parts as well some will be just voice acting for a police dispatch segment thats a part of this as well as the same voice actor portraying the officer to be on set for a quick few line scene. I also had someone reach out interested in composing music for parts of the series as well as someone who can help with providing vehicles for the appropriate date of 1981 so I do appreciate those types of messages as well! Im so excited to get this team built up. There will be future parts as well Ill need. I reached out to the Greater Adirondack Film Commission and Im looking forward to connect with them. This segment will be self funded to help me in my strategy to market and build what Im hoping for 50k-100k for the overall budget where I will need staff. Let's make this project happen and show how talented us New Yorkers are! We are in a film renaissance especially with horror. As a tattooer who's always been into motion pictures since I was 12 years old making claymations, web animations, and short films, Im ready to show the world what my main artistic passion is! Beyond excited for this have been working so hard and want a solid team where we can grow together. I'll take film students and newcomers interested and passionate so we can grow together and have plans as this progresses to get at least one or two more seasoned actor/actresses from the horror genre to help us get there where I really have my eyes on this actress from the first V/H/S movie where I think we could get a budget to get her on board. Im severely confident about this project! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
