Hello! I am independent filmmaker and educator based in Brooklyn. I am looking to produce and shoot a short film using amateur actors and crew. I plan on shooting this film on film stock, either super 8 or 16mm. 1. I am looking for a location that would include a bedroom, a kitchen, a building hallway/interior, and a backyard/courtyard of some sorts. This will be a small, independent production that would likely only require a weekend of shooting. As this a self-funded project, what I can pay for such a location is limited. If you are a fellow filmmaker and have a suitable location, I'd be more than happy to offer my labor on any of your productions in exchange. Please reach out if you have a suitable location based on the description above. 2. I am also looking to cast an NYC based actress to play the main role. The story involves a woman who hears a terrible scream late at night inside her apartment and, failing to investigate it, begins experiencing hallucinations in and around her building. This role would be suitable for all ranges of experience; I would love to work with someone who is passionate about acting and participating in an independent production, even if they are not the most experienced. Unfortunately I will not be able to compensate for this role, but again, I'm happy to work on any of your productions in exchange. Please reach out if you are interested in participating in the above film in any way. I will have a script to send you and can discuss the project in more detail. Thank you!
