A fast-growing designer and manufacturer of professional audio and video installation equipment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer/Draftsperson to join our team. The ideal candidate has three or more years of experience using SolidWorks for 3D mechanical design and a strong foundation in mechanical drafting. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting and creating detailed manufacturing drawings and have working knowledge of sheet metal design, structural steel shapes, industrial fasteners, surface finishes, as well as basic metal fabrication processes. Essentials Duties and responsibilities: • Design audio and video support structures and accessories • Create manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials for products and assemblies • Create installation guides & renderings using Solidworks and/or Keyshot. Qualifications: • Intermediate to advanced level Solidworks 2019 or higher versions. • Experience designing sheet metal, structural steel and construction materials • Knowledgeable of Mechanical terminologies, welding symbols and fasteners • Must be able to work independently within a group • Intermediate level of Excel and Word programs
