Solid Aperture priority compact SLR, Film Tested Imagery attached, all shot in Kentmere 400 souped in FA-1027 1+14 Minolta XG-7 35mm Film Camera + MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.7 Lens CAMERA The camera winds, fires, meters and transports film properly. The film advance is noticeably stiffer once film is loaded than it is with the camera empty. I have used it extensively this way and it has continued to advance film properly. The shutter-speed selector works normally, although the detents are a little softer than on some other XG-7 bodies I have owned The meter is working and very usable. Like many older camera meters, it benefits from being dialed in against a known accurate meter using the ASA/ISO setting. On this camera, the offset is about one stop — for example, ISO 400 film meters accurately at approximately the 200 setting. Once you know the offset, it is simple to use in the field. LENS The included lens is a Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.7, serial no. 2254606. It has been film tested and performs well. Focus and aperture operation are normal. Internally there is some minor dust and a small amount of haze typical of a vintage lens, with no meaningful effect on the photographs I made with it.
