Absolutely mint condition Canon A710 IS point-and-shoot camera from 2006. Beautifully loved and cared-for 20-year-old pocket camera that takes incredible photos. This camera is rock-solid and feels great in the hand. ABOUT THIS CAMERA: - There is literally not a single scratch on this device. It has never been dropped, shocked, waterlogged, or subjected to dirt or extreme temperatures. It was always carried in the semi-hard case pictured (which I will include in your purchase of the camera) when not used. This camera was truly "babied." - Fully-working condition: the lens extends and retracts with no issue, and the lens motor remains quiet after 20 years. 6x zoom mechanism is smooth and oiled to maintain movement. Shutter is responsive, and screen has no scratches. Built-in flash and optical viewfinder both work. Lens is pristine and was regularly, gently-cleaned with proper lens wipes, blower and lens cleaner. - Excellent build quality: this camera is Made in Japan (see photo of the bottom of the camera) with a metal front plate. The A710 IS is one of the last Canon cameras in this range to be produced in a Japanese factory (the successor to this model is made in China and has fully-plastic body). - Captures clear images: see the last photo with the Vancouver skyline for a recent sample. Nostalgic "vintage" vibe in 2026 without the overprocessing of today's cameras. The "IS" the model name refers to the Optical Image Stabilizer, and it is effective in reducing the likelihood of blurry photos, especially in low light. Manual modes available through a dial on the top of the device. - Powered by 2 AA batteries: convenient when you're out shooting and run out of power; any run-of-the-mill AAs will work. No expensive proprietary batteries required. Accepts rechargeable AAs for longer battery life. Note: the auxiliary CR1220 cell will need replacing, and these are cheap. INCLUDED WITH PURCHASE: - Canon A710 IS camera. - Kingston 8 GB SD card. - Canon OEM semi-hard carrying case with shoulder strap (with light wear-and-tear, considering its 20-year age, and did its job in protecting the camera). - 2 disposable AA batteries.
