Absolutely phenomenal lens. This 28mm is THAT LENS. This is what many people consider the absolute best and most desirable 28mm manual lens that nikon ever made. Compact, built like a tank, incredible optics, and with the close focusing correction and ability to focus to 0.2 meters. Cosmetically it is in great shape. Please see pictures for full condition, but it's in excellent condition with some minor signs of use. Glass is near mint – no notable (well really any that I can make out) scratches or marks – no fog, haze, or balsam separation, no fungus. Inside is very clean with less dust than is typical of these older lenses. Optically, nothing even remotely close to issues that would have any impact on the image quality – it's a very clean copy optically. Aperture blades are smooth, clean and work properly. I hesitate to describe anything this old as "perfect" optically, but this is pretty darn close. Focus action is smooth, if on the lighter side, it rotates easily, but no shakiness or real issues. You can probably have it greased/dampened if you prefer but I personally don't like when these are very dampened and hard to turn, and prefer when it can be rotated with just a finger – but just thought I'd mention it. Mount is pretty clean with minimal signs of use. Lens caps included may be different from what's pictured. Really a fantastic lens, I'm a bit sad to see it go. Again this is kind of THAT 28mm that everyone loves, and are pretty hard to find without having it shipped from japan for very high shipping/import fees. Feel free to ask any questions.
