Beautiful 28mm lens. Like all the other AI/AIS primes, this is built like a tank and feels amazing, with excellent image quality. Cosmetically it's fantastic. You have to look hard to find signs of use on it. There is a small squiggly looking scratch on the front coating that doesn't affect image quality whatsoever – but honestly it's very hard to even see in person, the pictures make it look a lot more visible. You have to look hard to find signs of use on the lens barrel or elsewhere. It looks nearly completely unused from the outside. Focus ring is smooth and very well dampened. Aperture ring is also flawless feeling and clicks properly. Aperture blades are flawless and oil free and move smoothly. No haze, no fog, no balsam seperation, no other notable scratches. Even the dust is VERY little compared to other lenses from this period, and nothing that would affect image quality. There is however a small amount of fungus on the inside of the back element on the very edges. I honestly didn't even notice it for a while until I shone a bright light and looked close, but it's there. I may clean it and update the listing. It in no way affects the image quality however. Aside from that (and the small mark on the front element coating) the glass looks fantastic and it would be hard to find a flaw. Great lens for shooting! I've you've never used these old AIS lenses it's hard to describe just how well built and great they feel in hand. Lens caps included may be different from what's pictured.
