A growing digital media brand is looking for a serious and reliable part-time video editor to help edit online video content. This position is located in Rockville Centre, NY 11570. This is an in-person position only. The work is not remote and must be completed on-site using our equipment. There is plenty of parking and public transportation nearby. The exact address will be provided to qualified applicants after initial screening. Work will be completed one day per week, on Monday OR Tuesday only, depending on your schedule. The work will be completed within the 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM time window if needed. The workday is expected to take fewer than 5 hours. Once the assigned work is completed, reviewed, and approved, you do not need to stay for the full time window. Compensation is $125 per day. Payment will be made via Zelle, PayPal, or cash after all 5 videos are completed, reviewed, and approved. The editor will be responsible for editing 5 videos per workday. Each video will be on average no more than 15 minutes in runtime. We edit only in CapCut, so applicants must be comfortable using CapCut. No background music needs to be added. Responsibilities include: Editing video content in CapCut Removing mistakes, pauses, and unnecessary footage Adding captions, text, transitions, images, and sound effects when needed Following provided instructions and maintaining a consistent editing style Completing edits within the scheduled workday Making reasonable revisions based on feedback Ensuring all 5 videos meet approval before payment is issued Requirements: Must be 18 years or older Experience editing videos in CapCut Must be able to work in person in Rockville Centre, NY 11570 Must be able to use our equipment for editing Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Must have good attention to detail and pacing Must be available Monday OR Tuesday only Must be able to edit 5 videos in one workday Must respect confidentiality and not share any footage, files, or project details Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a short unpaid editing test so we can evaluate skill level, editing speed, and ability to follow instructions. The test will be brief and is for evaluation purposes only. The unpaid test will not be used as any form of final, published, or client-facing content. The initial interview will be conducted over Zoom. Applicants who move forward will be invited to a second in-person interview in Rockville Centre, NY 11570. To be considered, applicants must send a 1-minute video sample that they edited themselves showcasing their editing skills. The sample should show their skillset, pacing, captions/text, transitions, and overall editing style.
