Penny - mid 50's - she has a lower voice and sounds defeated: Leave me alone! Two years ago when I was not in a good place, you chose to call your brothers instead of helping me. It was none of their business what was going on in our family. You wanted to throw me under the proverbial bus. You are passive aggressive and wanted them to hate me. Andy - mid 60's - wide open as to what he sounds like: Stop drinking. You always make everything for yourself and everyone else worse. If you're done then be done. Blake - 20 year old fraternity guy: "I noticed she was pretty intoxicated, so I went up to talk to her. I like to talk to those kinds of girls. She was standing at the bar. I asked her if she wanted to go outside and smooch. She said, 'Sure, as soon as I finish my drink.' Then my date came along and I had to go." George - 40's - Cop: "He said that the girl was flirting with him at the bar for about 45 minutes. He said part of the time her date was there, and the flirting would not have been really obvious to her date. He said that he did not give her a free drink. He said that she asked him to leave with her about three times. He said that she seemed like a classy girl. Betsy - around 20 - college girl sounding: "I thought it was unusual they would go so far away…No one else went this way…She seemed to be walking straight to me - of course she was being supported by the man." Sandy - in her 30's a cop but pleasant voice not harsh: John arrived at her home around 7:30 or 8 p.m. At that time he was wearing a black sweater with a light blue, button-down shirt. They stayed at Melanie's house until around 10:30 p.m. During that time they had dinner, and John did snort a line of cocaine. Taylor - around 20/21 - fast talking. Kind of mumbles. He said he had a great time and during the party he had met another girl who was intoxicated and upset at her date. Every morning after a party, John and I usually compare notes or tell what had happened the night before. He said he had left the party with this girl whose name he didn't know and gotten in his car with her. Joseph - attorney - 50: "In as much as there is an ongoing criminal investigation into this matter, we have instructed our client that he will take the fifth amendment with respect to any questions that deal with the day of the incident including the events leading up to the incident, the incident itself and anything following the incident." Dan - attorney - 41 Just so the record is clear, what I was showing you was the original photograph, a copy of which has been marked Exhibit 1, showing Connie Clark on your left and another woman. You've taken the Fifth Amendment with regard to the identification of the woman on the right; is that correct? Heather - about 20/21 - college sorority girl: Because of this reputation. I couldn't put a hand on the reputation if I tried. But if one of the sorority sisters came up to me at a party and said "Hey who is that guy?" I would say stay away from him. John - 21 year old cocky frat guy I got in some problems for brawling at hockey games, I got dismissed from -- suspended from intramural hockey. I was playing on two teams with friends, I was using a friend's CU ID to play on both teams so they considered that a fraudulent act. Wanda - late 30's - cop I did advise Kim that if John had forced her to have any type of sexual relations that that was illegal and she could file charges against him. I encouraged her to do so, however, did not force her. I explained to her the reasoning that, hopefully, we would be able to insist that John get help before he does hurt someone. Melanie - 20 year old sorority girl: He told me that she had asked him to go outside with him, and he complied and went outside. They took his car to a little bit away from the parking lot, had intercourse. Then this part is very unclear to me because I don't know — I don't quite remember what John told me and what I was questioned, as far as Sherri going out the window of his car. Jeffrey - 40 - doctor - grieving/outraged father: What I would like in reality is the truth from John Doe and I have a few questions for his attorneys. I recognize that John Doe has a right not to answer any questions and to take the 5th amendment on even the most basic and straightforward of questions presented by my attorney. However, do the parents of Sherri have no rights? Have we no right to know what happened to our daughter? Does Sherri have no rights? Tom - 60 years old - successful and slightly smug but polite: Regarding your specific accusation, it was my impression as an outside observer that it appeared you had more than a casual interest in John for all of those summers at the Club . Candidly, I was under the impression that this interest fostered casual hook-ups over an extended period of time, although perhaps this was just what I sensed from your interaction with John over the years. It was certainly not, on the surface, acrimonious. Oddly, I can even recall your interaction with John was seen by his wife as flirtatious, which outwardly upset her for the decade they lived in Rhode Island. His wife would speak about it openly from time to time.
