We are seeking a highly organized, resourceful, and motivated Production Assistant to support our team during pre-production for an upcoming independent feature film. This is a hands-on position for someone who is interested in learning the business of filmmaking and wants real experience working directly with a production team as we prepare for principal photography. Responsibilities The Pre-Production Assistant will help with a variety of production needs, including: Assisting the Producer and production team with day-to-day pre-production tasks Researching and contacting potential filming locations Helping coordinate location scouts and appointments Organizing production documents, contact lists, schedules, and spreadsheets Making calls and sending emails to vendors, locations, crew, and other production contacts Researching equipment, rentals, transportation, accommodations, and production services Assisting with casting and crew coordination when needed Helping collect paperwork, releases, agreements, and other production documents Following up with vendors and production contacts Running occasional production-related errands Helping prepare materials for production meetings Assisting with general office and administrative needs Keeping track of outstanding tasks and following up to make sure they are completed Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Extremely organized and dependable Comfortable making professional phone calls and sending emails Computer savvy and comfortable with Google Docs, Google Sheets, email, and online research A strong communicator Able to multitask and keep track of many moving pieces Resourceful and willing to find solutions rather than wait for instructions Professional when communicating with property owners, vendors, actors, and crew Able to work independently while also taking direction Interested in film production and eager to learn Willing to jump in wherever needed Previous film or television experience is highly preferred. We are interested in finding someone who is intelligent, responsible, proactive, and serious about the opportunity About the Production This is an independent feature film currently in active pre-production, with principal photography planned for January 2027. The selected PA will have the opportunity to see how a feature film comes together from the early planning stages through preparation for production. For the right person, there may also be an opportunity to continue with the production during filming.
