This SMC Pentax-M 120mm 2.8 lens in PK mount is in mint condition. It's a great piece of glass, rendering sharp images and pleasant bokeh (it has 8 blades). This SMC Pentax-M 120mm 2.8 lens is smaller and lighter than its relative Pentax-K 120mm lens. The lens has the usual good focusing ring that makes it very easy to get sharp focus in the old Pentax M lenses. The thickness of the focusing ring is about 40% of the length of the lens barrel, and it turns about 2/3 of a full turn in going from infinity to the shortest focus, allowing very fine focusing. The filter does not rotate when focusing. You can use it as a portrait or telephoto lens. The aperture ring is set back a bit from the camera mount, and its 360-degree ring allows easy movement of the aperture ring from all sides of the camera. The built-in telescopic hood is one of the great designs of the older Pentax telephoto lenses, and it's really useful in this lens. This is a nice small lens (for a f2.8 lens) to carry along on trips and hikes as a second or third lens because it takes up so little space. The lens comes with both original caps.
