Paid Position (Hourly or Project-Based) I'm looking for a video editor to help bring an independent reality series to life. The series follows the behind-the-scenes journey of making a feature film. I'm looking for someone who understands the style, pacing, and energy of reality television. This project isn't being approached as a traditional documentary—I'm looking for an edit that feels cinematic, polished, entertaining, and character-driven, with the pacing and storytelling audiences expect from reality TV. Alongside the full episodes, we'll also be creating short-form content for social media using footage from the series. What You'll Be Editing * Reality show episodes * Short-form social media content created from the reality show footage Ideal Experience * Experience editing reality television or content with a similar style and pace. * A strong understanding of reality TV editing, including pacing, music, character moments, humor, emotion, and cliffhangers. * Comfortable taking creative direction and shaping edits from clear episode outlines and feedback. * Able to identify moments from the episodes that can be repurposed into engaging social media content. * Organized with project files and media management. Creative Process I'll be closely involved throughout the editing process and will provide the episode structure, story direction, and ongoing feedback. You'll have a clear roadmap for each episode, and we'll collaborate to bring that vision to life. Location Ideally, you're based in Los Angeles. While some work can be done remotely, I'd love to meet in person from time to time to discuss edits, exchange hard drives, and collaborate creatively. Pay This is a paid position.
