Hey Friends! My name is Jack and I make music under the name, "Infected with Fire". I post on Craiglist often to get connected to high energy, creative people. I joined social media and streaming sites in March 2021 and since then, I've completed 8 albums. I write the music, play all the instruments, record/mix/master at my amateur studio. The music is electronic/acoustic existential. So here is the gig: I have a powerful music piece that is a journey through 3 emotional realms. It's a 10 minute journey through power/sensuality, introspection/trance, and final peace. The piece is titled, "Youth"—"Masks"—"Outro". I am seeking a dancer that can provide a performance to the music (will be recorded as a short dance film and submitted to film festivals). I don't envision just dancing, but more of a combination of dance and performance art. It will be up to you as how you express yourself throughout the piece. In my mind, I see the first 3-4 minutes as dance, and the rest as performance art (ex: for the middle movement things like the dancer writing on the screen or showing cue cards saying, "I'm a liar. I'm scared", "I want to be touched"; ex 2: for the final movement, the dancer getting up, smiling and hugging themselves; then leaving the room while the last 2 minutes of the music play to an empty room; you'll understand these type of visions when you hear the different movements.) So here are the next steps: Below is a link to the track. Turn off everything and listen to the track with full immersion. If it's meant for you, you will start having feelings/images of what you would perform and will be moved by the music. If it's meant for you and interested, send me a message on your thoughts/feelings on the track and vision for your performance. If you're not an artist, but are moved by the music, also feel free to say hello! Look forward to hearing from you! Best, Jack!
