Shoot Dates: 18 days, beginning Monday, January 26, 2026 Rate: $200/day stipend Additional Gear Stipend: $1,000 flat (if providing gear) We are seeking a Gaffer to work closely with our Director of Photography on an upcoming micro-budget independent feature film. The project is being led by an Emmy-nominated female writer/director, collaborating with a UTA-represented writer/director, and supported by a highly accomplished creative team. Our Director of Photography has two feature films in competition at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. While this film is very much a labor of love and operates on a limited budget, every core collaborator on this project is actively attached to higher-scale productions. We view this as the beginning of an ongoing creative partnership, with the intention of bringing strong collaborators forward onto future projects with more traditional budgets and infrastructure. This is a psychological relationship thriller with elements of sci-fi body horror, grounded in realism but heightened by a stylized, atmospheric visual language. Tonally and visually, the film lives in the space of EUPHORIA and A24's genre-forward work, with a tactile, intimate aesthetic similar to X, BODIES BODIES BODIES, and related films. Access to lighting gear is not required, but if you have your own gear, we can offer an additional $1,000 stipend for the duration of the shoot.
