We are producing a short documentary in Los Angeles about how Americans understand modern Asia — especially the relationship between China and Japan — and how history shapes today's world. We're looking for someone who: • Has knowledge of China–Japan relations, Asian history, or U.S.–Asia politics • Is open-minded and culturally curious • Has a positive or friendly view toward Chinese culture / Chinese communities • Can speak clearly on camera (experience not required) • Based in Los Angeles or able to come for a short interview The interview will focus on: • How Americans perceive Asia • How history affects today's China–Japan dynamics • Misunderstandings between East and West • The importance of peace, cultural dialogue, and anti-war values This is NOT a political campaign. This is a cultural-education video meant to promote understanding, reduce stereotypes, and encourage thoughtful conversation. Compensation: $80–$200 depending on experience Length: 30–45 minute interview Location: Downtown LA / Little Tokyo area If interested, please send: • Your background (research, studies, or personal experience) • A few sentences on why you care about Asia or China • Your availability this week Thank you — we hope to feature voices who can help Americans better understand Asia in a fair and human way.
