Silent Sister is seeking a Lighting Designer for a one-night-only, mixed media art exhibition in Savannah on 9/12, 7pm-12am. The show is heavy on interactive installation and performance work, and we are looking for an individual who can use lighting to empasize the mood of show and help set up an immersive experience. We'd like you to bring or source your own equipment. There will be 1-2 days of setup, the day of the show, and 1-2 days for break down. If you're interested, please share a little bit about your experience and why you're interested in the project. ABOUT THE SHOW: SUMMER TEETH & OWL GREASE In a world where the standard of what's in vogue shifts constantly, one fact remains true: individuality reigns supreme. The exhibition Summer Teeth & Owl Grease embraces a conscious vulnerability, championing our inner loser as our greatest strength. We focus on the socially marginalized; those who misalign with the mainstream in their interests or their path. The conviction of their choices frequently supersedes their objective oddness, and the very thing that separates these supposed misfits from others may in fact bring them power, wealth, accolades, or simply, joy. This body of work digs into the dichotomous idea of loser chic in an effort to embrace the insecurity that comes with developing our personality and pursuing our unique passions.
