We're casting "Mango Man," a satire of low-effort AI slop content and startup hustle culture. Think "Silicon Valley" meets "MDE World Peace." In a world of pointless products, we have the most pointless of them all: "Mango Man" protein shakes.... because tropical flavors are cool right now (supposedly). This is a gross-out comedy short film in the vein of Eric Andre, "Jackass, "Borat," etc. Trashy, over-the-top, nihilistic. Those familiar with low-brow "bro" advertising (Dude Wipes, Old Spice, Axe, Jack Links) will understand the vibe. All roles are early-mid 20s. We are trying to start shooting TOMORROW Dec 28. Characters: Daniel: Delusional hustle-entrepreneur-grindset startup guy who's convinced he's found an all-time great niche: tropical flavored protein drinks. Think: Michael Scott or Dennis from "It's Always Sunny." Narcissistic enough to cast himself as the scrappy underdog in a commercial for his own product. Constantly belittling his "friends" into working on his startup for free. Ammar: The high-strung "tech guru" at his startup. Shy, anxious, and socially awkward, he is pulling all-nighters to try to get Mango Man Protein off the ground. He is a barrel of rage waiting to explode... Casey: Slacker idiot who's never held a real job, but still manages to convince himself that he knows better than everyone else. Complete loser bozo who thinks he's gonna strike it rich when Mango Man takes off. Think: Kenny Powers or Will Ferrell's character in "Wedding Crashers."
