Independent film production seeking an experienced Steadicam Operator for the upcoming short film A Test of Faith, filming in the Los Angeles area. We are looking for an operator with strong narrative experience who can create smooth, controlled, cinematic camera movement while working closely with the Director and Director of Photography. The film is a dramatic thriller, and camera movement will be motivated by character and tension rather than simply movement for movement's sake. Applicants should have experience with: • Narrative film production • Steadicam operation and balancing • Interior and exterior tracking shots • Following actors through confined spaces • Maintaining precise composition during longer takes • Working efficiently with a DP and camera department Having your own Steadicam system is strongly preferred.
