2ND POSTING, SEE BELOW FOR MY SEARCH FOR YOUNG ACTORS May 25th Patrick wrote; Hi, I am looking to make a faith based film with a Catholic theme; That is an apparition of the Virgin Mary. Yes a Catholic theme but it is really for all people no matter what country, culture, religion etc. It is a true story that is taking place in the Former Yugoslavia, now Bosnia Herzegovina. It has been non-stop everyday until this very day starting on June 24th 1981. Mary the mother of Jesus appeared to 6 visionaries, 4 girls and 2 boys starting in 1981. They were 15 & 16 years old with one of the boys being 10 yrs. Three of the visionaries are still seeing her everyday. The other 3 see her once a year. For the first few weeks Mary appeared on a hillside that the visionaries along with the crowds would climb each day to have their apparition and discuss whatever Mary wanted to tell them. The visionaries now range in age from 55 to 61. Mary has been asking us to return to God or suffer the consequences which will be substantial if humanity won't listen and we continue with our wicked lifestyles. I've been there 8 times so I know it's real. I want to do a dramatic film on the first few days of the apparitions in this tiny hamlet of Medjugorje with about 400 poor farming families. In a matter of days the town would have 30,000 or more very curious visitors each day trampling the crops upsetting the peace and quiet and attracting the communist government who thought it was some sort of a revolution. Medjugorje became known in short order throughout the country and then throughout Europe and then around the world. Now 100 million people or more have been there. They come mostly searching for miracles which were very prevalent in the early days. Like Fatima and Lourdes Medjugorje has had 1000's of healings and conversions. They still happen, just less frequent. Let me know if you're interested and if you can get a crew together. We have a script being revised now and could be ready to start filming in July or August. There is much more to the story and I will share it all. Medjugorje will be a household word someday. Hopefully we can help promote that. Thanks Pat Added - June 19th: I got many responses for the above post, with some very good talent of people behind the camera and behind the scenes. Now I need to find actors that have some resemblance to the pictures of the children attached. All the children are medium build, 16 yrs old roughly, except for Jakov who is 10 yrs. 1) Marija, 16yrs, roughly 5'-4" to 5'-6" darker brown shoulder length hair. Ivanka similar height, maybe slightly taller, medium brown hair, height 5'-6" to 5'-8", Vicka, 16 yrs, Curly darker brown shoulder length hair 5'-5" to 5'-7" in height. Mirjana, 5'-5" to 5'-7" straight to wavy blonde hair shoulder length, Ivan 16 year old boy, 5'-7" to 5-9" roughly, dark brown hair- shorter, and finally Yakov 10 years old lighter brown hair roughly a foot shorter than the others , so roughly 4'-4" to 4'-6". See if you can pick them out in the 4-5 extra pictures I added and the pics from the previous post. If you would like to be involved, please email me a head shot and a little about your experience. You don't have to have a huge amount of experience, we can coach you. If you're not the height we're looking for we can fudge a little. We may be filming some short scenes as early as July or August. Thanks and God Bless you.
